Spain have reached the final of the UEFA Women’s EURO for the first time and will be looking to prevent England from becoming back-to-back European champions when the two best teams in the competition meet at St Jakob-Park on Sunday.

La Roja had their toughest battle of the tournament so far in the semi-finals as Germany became the first team at the European Championships to prevent Spain from scoring in normal time. Spain are the best attacking team in the tournament with an average of almost 3 expected goals per game (xG 2.84) and have also kept a clean sheet in 60% of their games. With England not exactly convincing until the final and Spain dominating in all aspects of performance throughout the tournament, it is safe to assume that Spain will beat England on Sunday to claim their first European Championship title.
