Deportivo Alaves vs Espanyol Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals 

A potentially tight contest seems likely when Deportivo Alaves takes on Espanyol in Saturday's La Liga matchup. 

Alaves return to the Estadio de Mendizorroza now winless in 12 of their last 13 matches after a dramatic 3:3 draw at Leganes last weekend. Eduardo Coudet´s men were left frustrated by Munir El Haddadian´s 88th minute equaliser. 

While the hosts have been in decent form on their travels, picking up three draws and one win in their last five on the road, recent form at the Estadio de Mendizorroza is far less impressive. Alaves failed to win any of their last five home fixtures, with only one win picked up in eight games played at this venue since October (W1, L4, D3). 

Low-scoring outcomes have been frequent at the Estadio de Mendizorroza. Each of Alaves last six home fixtures saw under 2.5 goals scored, with Coudet´s side bagging just four goals during that period. 

Espanyol come into Saturday's La Liga fixture in decent form with only one defeat recorded in their last seven league contests (W3, D3, L1). 

However, a lack of firepower has proven an issue for Manolo González´s side, with the Catalans scoring one goal or less in 11 of their last 12 fixtures. Ten of those games saw under 2.5 goals scored, and that outcome again seems likely this weekend. 

With both teams struggling to score, I´m banking on another low-scoring fixture, with under 2.5 goals my top tip on Saturday.
