Denmark's results in recent tournaments have been solid, reaching the knockout phase in three of the last four major tournaments (two European Championships and two World Cups). Lately, they managed to reach the UEFA Nations League (A) Playoffs but were stopped by Portugal in the Quarter Finals in a really close duel. Generally speaking, most of Denmark's poor results happened away from home, and that is something they will need to change in order to secure that first place in Group C, where they will play against teams heavily reliant on their home pitch -Greece, Scotland, and Belarus.
Northern Ireland are a team that constantly struggled to reach a major tournament, considering they only did it once since the WC in Mexico in 1986. Their performances in the UEFA Nations League had their ups and downs, but they managed to return to League B after securing the top spot in League C Group 3 with Bulgaria, Belarus, and Luxembourg. Looking at their WC Qualifiers Group, they will not have an easy job securing the next stage as they will face Germany, Slovakia, and Luxembourg. However, that second place is up for grabs, considering we expect Germany will secure the top one.
Denmark vs Northern Ireland pick: Denmark to win and cover the -1.5 AH spread
While Denmark had their ups and downs in recent games, they have been fantastic at home, winning three of the last four matches. They beaten fantastic teams like Serbia, Switzerland, and even Portugal, losing only to Spain (2:1) in a very close game.
Northern Ireland are also heavily reliant on their home pitch. Away from home, they have been absolutely terrible, winning once in 11 games. In games against teams of similar quality to Denmark, they are humiliated - Sweden 5:1, Finland 5:1 and 4:0, Slovenia 4:2, etc... So, securing a good result in this friendly against Denmark will definitely be a challenge.
These teams met in the EURO Qualifiers in 2023, with both teams winning their home game. Still, Denmark were a better team in both of those matches and should dominate once again, winning by at least a two-goal difference.

Denmark team news
In recent days, coach Brian Riemer was asked if he would allow Kasper Schmeichel to leave the camp early during these friendly matches. While he admitted that the 39-year-old's goalkeeper is on a demanding schedule and that his minutes have to be monitored, he noted no one will be early unless they are injured. However, the coach hinted that Schmeichel will most likely not start in two friendlies vs. Northern Ireland and Lithuania.

Northern Ireland team news
In recent days, coach Michael O'Neill spoke about the last match they faced Denmark, which lost 1:0 in Copenhagen when they almost secured the EURO in 2023. "We were asking a lot of those players.
