Chelsea and Manchester City go head to head on Saturday in the United States as both sides continue their preparations for the upcoming 2024-25 Premier League season.
The Blues have taken part in two pre-season friendlies and failed to win both games. Enzo Maresca's side held Wrexham to a 2-2 draw before being humiliated 4-1 by Scottish Premiership side Celtic. Chelsea take on Club America on Wednesday morning and I will be looking to gain some momentum before their clash with City.
Manchester City meanwhile have played three pre-season friendlies and this weekend's fixture will be their last before they take on neighbours Manchester United in the Community Shield. The Citizens have been far from impressive in their three encounters so far, losing two and drawing one, but that won't stop them going into this game as favourites.
Manchester City vs Chelsea Betting Tips: Over 2.5 goals
The Blues ended last season with some very entertaining encounters and that trend has continued in their pre-season friendlies. Both of Chelsea's games have ended with at least four goals and Man City's recent matches have also been entertaining.
City have been less convincing lately, but the goals have come in abundance for the Citizens. Pep's men have scored at least two goals in their three games so far, and the same number of games have ended with at least four goals. I expect more of the same this weekend.
