Cartagena are again one of the weakest La Liga 2 teams, but they hope to again escape from relegation. Last season, the team from the region of Murcia finished with only six points more than the drop zone. 

Cartagena had a poor start to the 2024/25 season with two defeats. In the previous round, the first points finally came when Abelardo's team won 2-1 on the road against Eldense. Although they started the new season without a defeat in the first three rounds, Levante realistically belongs more to a mid-table position.
