Two sides separated by eight places in the English second division meet on Wednesday evening as Bristol City welcome Stoke City to Ashton Gate.
The hosts prepare for this clash after their three-match unbeaten run came to an end last weekend. After beating Blackburn Rovers whilst drawing with Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford United, Liam Manning's side suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Swansea. That defeat not only ended their unbeaten run, but also their four-game home winning streak in the Championship.
Stoke City, meanwhile, didn't play any Championship football over the weekend. The Potters were in the FA Cup, where they held fellow second-tier side Cardiff City to a 3-3 draw after going two goals down inside 19 minutes.
