For the third year in a row, Arsenal finished in second place, two times behind Manchester City and last season behind Liverpool. However, last season, they weren't too close to the top spot, as Liverpool left them ten points behind. In the Champions League, the Gunners finished their competition in the Semi-Finals, losing to the eventual champions, PSG. During the pre-season, the Gunners were pretty active, and many football pundits believe they have gotten better. However, it remains to be seen if it will finally be enough for the PL or the CL title.
AC Milan had one of their worst season in a really long time. They finished eight - three points away from European spots and seven away from the Champions League appearance. Rossoneri had a chance to save the season through the cup, but lost 1:0 to Bologna in the Finals. So, Rossoneri will not appear in Europe for the first time since the 2019/20 season. Like Arsenal, AC Milan were also active during the pre-season, but we highly doubt they have gotten any better than last season.
Arsenal vs AC Milan pick: Over 2.5 goals
Arsenal weren't particularly great for this bet throughout last season, but that changed a lot in the final part of the season. They went over 2.5 goals in seven of the previous nine matches - 78%!
On the other hand, AC Milan were fantastic for this type of bet. They went 23 times over 2.5 goals in 38 matches (60%), which is the most in the Serie A last season.
In the previous five h2h games, we saw three or more goals on four occasions - 80%.
This is the first match for each team after around two months, and it is hard to predict what we can expect from either team. However, considering all the above, we believe that an over 2.5 goals bet is the safest bet for this friendly match.

Arsenal team news
During the offseason, six players left the club. Surely the best among them is Thomas Partey, who left on a free transfer and is still without a club. Jorginho, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Kieran Tierney are also players who had significant roles last season but left the team.
On the other hand, four new players arrived - Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

AC Milan team news
On July 1st, 2025, the club appointed Massimiliano Allegri as the new head coach. The Italian coach was previously at Juventus but was sacked on May 17th, 2024, due to behavioural problems.
During the offseason, ten players left the team. Undoubtedly, the best among them are Tijjani Reijnders, who went to join Manchester City (55 million), and Theo Hernandez, who joined Al Hilal (25 million euros). Meanwhile, three players joined the team on transfers, whilst several of them returned from loan deals and could play important roles in AC Milan. Undoubtedly, the biggest name among those who arrived is Luka Modric, who arrived on a free transfer from Real Madrid.
