Al Ahly continue their pursuit of the Premier League crown with the hosts in sight of yet another league triumph. Premier League winners in seven of the last nine season, the hosts remain two points clear at the top of the division with just four games still to play. 

Al Ahly have been in fine form in recent weeks, picking up victories in each of their last five matches, including a vital 2:1 win against National Bank of Egypt ten days ago.

Particularly strong in home fixtures, Emad El Nahhas's men scored victories in six of their last seven games at Cairo International Stadium. Going back even further, the hosts have lost just one of 72 previous home fixtures in the Premier League.

Pharaco return to action this week after extending their unbeaten run to five matches with a hard-fought goalless draw against Haras El Hodood last week. 

Placed seventh in the division, but 23 points behind Al Ahly, the visitors have enjoyed a decent run of form, but with little to play for, are unlikely to halt the title-chasing hosts. 

On the road, Pharco lost two of their last five fixtures, and a similar outcome should be expected on Wednesday. Ahmed Khatab's side also fell to defeat in both of their two previous away Premier League matches against the reigning Egyptian champions.

While unlikely to be an easy night's work, I'm confident Al Ahly will maintain their winning form in Wednesday's crucial Premier League fixture.

A home win is my best bet at Cairo International Stadium.
