Tottenham are playing an absolutely terrible season. During the pre-season, coach Ange Postecoglu said that he always wins trophies in his second year, but it seems that will not be the case for the Spurs. Recently, they were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Liverpool and from the FA Cup by Aston Villa, and in the last game, they just lost 1:0 to AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of the Europa League 1/8 Finals. When it comes to the Premier League, they are terrible as they sit in 13th place with only 33 points in 27 matches - 11 away from European spots!

Bournemouth, on the other hand, are constantly improving their results in the Premier League. After securing promotion in 2021/22, they finished 15th and 12th in the following two PL seasons. Now, the Cherries are in 7th place, only one point away from 6th-placed Newcastle and European spots. Besides their excellent performance in the Premier League, the Cherries also secured the FA Cup Quarter Finals after beating the Wolves in the last match. In the next round, they will face Manchester City at Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth pick: Under 3.5 goals

Tottenham lost back-to-back games 1:0 against Manchester City and AZ Alkmaar. Looking at their recent offensive performances, the Spurs were far from impressive, scoring one or zero goals in five out of the last six matches. Even though they have a lot of talent up front, they keep underperforming, and we do not trust them to offer a good offensive performance against anyone.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth mostly played low-scoring games recently. They were under 3.5 goals in five out of the last six matches - 83%. Like Tottenham, we haven't seen too many of Bournemouth's great offensive performances. In the last six games, they scored one or zero goals on four occasions. Also, in the PL, the Cherries were only nine times over 3.5 goals in 27 rounds - 33.3%.

In the first h2h game this season, Bournemouth won 1:0. Considering the previous h2h game and all the above, we believe that an under 3.5 goals bet seems like the best option for this Premier League tie.

Tottenham team news

In the previous game against AZ Alkmaar, Dominic Solanke suffered an injury and had to leave the field a couple of minutes before the end of the match. It is a terrible moment for the 27-year-old as he just recovered from his knee injury, which kept him out for almost two months.

Moreover, Dejan Kulusevski, Ben, Davies, Richarlison, Radu Dragusin, and Ben Davies, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined. On the other hand, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero recovered from their injuries and were on the bench in the previous game against AZ Alkmaar.

Bournemouth team news

Central defender Ilya Zabarnyi will serve the third of this three-game suspension he received after a red card in the Wolves game on 22nd February. Since another central defender (Marco Sensei) is injured, coach Andoni Iraola is forced to play with Huijsen and Hill at the back. But considering they have been fantastic lately, that could be a good thing.

Additionally, Julian Araujo, Ryan Christie, Adam Smith, and Enes Unal, who missed the previous games, should remain sidelined with their injuries.
