Racing Santander vs Eibar Betting Tips - Racing to Win

Racing return to home comforts again on Fridayafter a frustrating 2:2 draw against Almeria in the opening round of Segunda Division fixtures. Despite taking a two-goal lead into the second half, Racing were unable to hold on to their advantage with Luis Suarez´s late penalty rescuing a point for the away side.

Winners in 13 of 21 home matches played last season, José Alberto López´s side will now look to get their first win on the board against an Eibar side that began their season with a 1:0 win at  Castellón.

Led by Joseba Etxeberria, Eibar largely struggled on their travels last season. Friday´s visitors lost seven and won only three of their last 15 away matches in the Segunda Division.

Last season´s trip to Santander ended badly for Los Armeros with a 4:0 goal defeat on the opening weekend of the campaign. Eibar have lost both previous visits to the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero.

At this early stage of the campaign, it's difficult to make too many confident predictions, particularly in a tight looking contest such as this one. However, based on previous meetings, and Racing´s generally strong home form, the hosts look a little over-priced to claim all three points on Friday.

With both teams goal stats proving a little inconclusive, I prefer to put my confidence in the home side emerging with a narrow victory at the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero.
