Fluminense are solid in the Brazilian Serie A this season, as they seem like the team that should have a good chance of competing for the top six positions. In the previous weeks, Fluminense played at the FIFA Club World Cup, where Renato Gaucho's team punched above their weight. In the first Serie A returning from the break, Cruzeiro won 4-1 at home against Gremio. The home side finished the match with an xG of 2.44, while the guests had 0.72, so it is no wonder that Cruzeiro secured another victory.
