First meets second in a likely entertaining Ykkosliiga fixture on Monday as FC Lahti go in search of a ninth successive victory at Lahden Stadion.

A brilliant run of form has seen the home side surge to the top of the division with eight successive league wins recorded since the end of May. Free-flowing in the forward positions, Lahti scored 20 goals in those victories, but failed to keep clean sheets in four of their five most recent wins. 

Fourteen games into the season, Gonçalo Pereira's side sit at the top of the division, one point clear of TPS ahead of Monday's showdown.

TPS come into this fixture in similarly strong form with victories picked up in six of their last seven Veikkausliiga contests. Much like the home side, TPS boast plenty of quality in the forward positions, with 20 goals scored in those seven fixtures.

Defensive vulnerabilities have been evident though, with Ivan Piñol Zoroa's side conceding at least one goal in all but one of their last 13 matches. As a consequence, high-scoring results have been especially frequent. TPS saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in 12 of those 13 games. 

Recent encounters between these teams have also delivered in the goal department. Each of their last nine meetings finished with BTTS, while five of their seven most recent meetings also saw a minimum of three goals scored.

With those numbers in mind, I'm confidently backing both teams to score, with my second stake placed on the BTTS/Over 2.5 goals double.
