The last time Everton suffered relegation from the English top-flight division was back in the 1950/51 season. The last three seasons were a struggle for survival as the Toffees finished between 15th and 17th place. Still, judging from the terrible start this season, this might be Everton's toughest year. After five rounds, the Toffees won just one point while allowing 14 goals. Additionally, Dyche's squad was eliminated from the Carabao Cup by a newcomer to the Premier League, Southampton. Pretty much their only good game this season was against a League Two team, Doncaster, in the Carabao Cup 1/32 Finals. Right now, the bookies see Everton as the fourth-favorite for relegation, only behind Southampton, Leicester, and Ipswich.
Crystal Palace are playing their 12th consecutive season in the Premier League, where they have been mostly in the middle of the league's table. While they are constantly failing to break a 50-point mark, the Eagles haven't been too close to the danger zone. Still, this season did not start on the right foot, considering they won only three points and are sitting in 16th place. Their only two wins this season came in the Carabao Cup against Championship teams QPR and Norwich. However, unlike Everton, the Eagles haven't looked too bad in their games so far, and we believe they will soon start winning games.
Everton vs Crystal Palace pick: Both teams to score
Everton were known for their excellent defense in recent years. Last year, despite finishing 15th, they had the fourth-best defense behind Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool. But this year, the Toffees have been absolutely terrible and have already allowed 14 goals in five rounds - 2.8 per game. Their only clean sheet this season was in the Carabao Cup against Doncaster. So, expecting them to keep a clean sheet against a Premier League side is unreal. On the other hand, Everton started scoring regularly and have scored at least a goal in the last five games in all competitions.
Crystal Palace have been superb for this bet away from home, as both teams scored in all three games in all competitions. Offensively, the Eagles haven't been great, with four goals in five Premier League rounds, but we believe they are more than capable of scoring against an out-of-form Everton.
In the previous h2h game at Goodison Park, we saw a 1:1 draw. Now, considering all the above, we believe that both teams scoring is the best bet for this Premier League game.

Everton team news
Sean Dyche is the frontrunner for the next manager to be sacked in the Premier League. Right now, the odds of that happening are around 3.5. According to speculations, Everton are looking to replace him with either Graham Potter or David Moyes.
Armando Broja, Chermiti, Seamus Coleman, and Idrissa Gueye will remain sidelined with their injuries, while Nathan Patterson and Jarrad Branthwaite are very close to making a return. Both players played for Everton U21 a few days ago to help them get back in match-ready mode. Additionally, Vitalii Mykolenko returned to first-team training after recovering from illness. Still, we do not expect him in the starting lineup.

Crystal Palace team news
After a goalless draw against Manchester United, coach Oliver Glasner spoke to the media. He said that Dean Henderson kept them alive in the first half but also noted they did much better in the second period. "In the second half, we were more organized, we played with more courage, and we had two fantastic opportunities to win," the coach added.
The team should have no new injuries, but the players who missed the previous games should remain sidelined - Chadi Riad, Matheus Franca, Cheick Doucoure, Rob Holding, and Trevoh Chalobah.
