Alec Burks and RJ Barrett had 21 points each, albeit on contrasting shooting splits, as the Knicks beat a Bucks team without four of their five starters through niggling injuries. 

Two-time reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and offseason acquisition Jrue Holiday (both knee), Khris Middleton (hip) and Donte DiVincenzo (foot) were all out sidelined, paving the way for a big display from reserve small forward Jordan Nwora (21 pts, 10 rebs) and Giannis' older brother Thanasis (23 pts, 10 rebs, five ast).

Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley combined 26 points from the bench, while Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson had increased minutes after third-year big man Mitchell Robinson (broken foot) could only play six minutes.

Jimmy Butler had 20 points and nine assists, Duncan Robinson hit six threes, while new acquisition SF Trevor Ariza was one rebound away from a double-double (14 pts, nine rebs) on his second start in twelve months.

However, those efforts were not enough to help them avoid a 110-105 loss away against the Charlotte Hornets last time out – so will they rebound after six straight defeats?

ESPN's BPI is strongly backing a road win for Erik Spoelstra's men (73.2%), which partly makes sense should All-Star power forward Julius Randle (thigh) remain sidelined after missing their narrow win at the weekend. 

However, I'm unconvinced about the win probability percentages being so high in Miami's favour considering their form and this being an intriguing matchup between playoff-chasing Eastern Conference teams, separated by more positions in the standings right now (4) than games (2) through 46 regular season matches to date. 

However, I'm expecting big scoring displays from Adebayo and Butler en route to a hard-earned victory for the reigning Eastern Conference champions, as they look to start a new week on a high.
