Real Valladolid come into Saturday's La Liga encounter with relegation looking increasingly likely after a 2:1 defeat at Valencia last weekend. Sitting at the the bottom of the division with just 16 points collected, Álvaro Rubio's side have picked up just one point from their last eight fixtures, and now find themselves 11 points short of safety, with only 11 games still to play. 

In a miserable campaign, Valladolid have done much of their best work at the Estadio Municipal José Zorrilla, with two wins and one draw in their last five home fixtures. Thirteen of their 16 points claimed this season were won at this venue. 

Celta return to action in high spirits after they extended their unbeaten run to five matches with a 2:1 win against Leganes on Saturday. Despite conceding early, Claudio Giráldez´s side fought back to claim a fifth win in six home fixtures played since December. 

Currently ninth in La Liga, Celta remain in the hunt for European qualification, sitting just five points behind sixth-placed Betis.

While strong in home matches, the Sky Blues have a less than impressive away record. Celta failed to win any of their last eight away league matches (D4, L4), while they have kept just one clean sheet in 21 road games since February 2024. 

As a result of their defensive struggles, BTTS has proven a reliable choice when Giráldez´s men are in action. Ten of Celta´s last 11 games saw both teams score, while each of their last seven away games also finished with BTTS.

Considering those numbers, I´m confidently backing both teams to get on the scoresheet in Saturday's La Liga encounter.
