Paderborn will be keen to get their Bundesliga promotion hopes back on track when they host Nurnberg this weekend. However, the home side can expect a stiff test against Miroslav Klose´s men.

Indeed, the hosts have endured something of a dip in form in recent weeks with only one win recorded from their last five matches across all competitions.

While placed second in the division, the hosts have failed to win three of their last five home fixtures, including a disappointing 0:0 draw against Eintracht Braunschweig in their most recent match at Home Deluxe Arena. 

Nurnberg return to action on Friday having enjoyed a five-game unbeaten run before the recent international break. Placed seventh in the division, Klose´s side find themselves only three points behind Paderborn ahead of this weekend´s matchup.

On the road, Nurnberg are unbeaten in four of five games played this season, and with a strong recent record in this fixture, will be confident of claiming another positive result on Friday. Since 2022, Nurnberg won three of their last four matches against Paderborn while they have lost only two of 12 previous encounters going back to 2006.

With those numbers in mind, and considering recent form in the Bundesliga II, Nurnberg look a good bet to claim a positive result this weekend.
