After both teams lost their Cup and Serie B opening games, Modena and Bari will look for their first points this season on Friday evening in the second round of Serie B.
Modena had a similar previous two seasons, finishing tenth while winning 47 and 48 points. They were pretty close to reaching playoffs but still failed to do so, and they are hoping they can change that this season. According to Italian media reports, Modena are close to signing Alessandro Di Pardo. The 25-year-old wing-back/full-back is currently in Cagliari but didn't get playing time and will likely leave the club. However, Modena's sports director is denying that, and some sources say that he wants to add Alessandro Dellavalle to a loan deal from Torino. The main reason why they are trying to fill that role is because their full-back Fabio Ponsi is injured and will not return for some time.

He said he did not expect a debut like this as his players arrived at the match without energy, and they deservedly lost the game.
