Kayserispor vs Besiktas prediction 30.09.2024 | Super Lig

Kayserispor are playing their tenth consecutive season in Super Lig, where they were mostly in the lower part of the league's table. Last year, they finished 14th but only two points from the relegation zone. Unfortunately for the team from Kayseri, they did not add anyone over the Summer, and combined with constant injury problems at the back, it was hard to expect a good start. And indeed, the popular Anatolian star have been disappointing, winning just three points in five rounds, and are currently in 17th place.

Besiktas had a disappointing last season in Super Lig, finishing 6th. Still, they somewhat saved the season by winning the Cup and reaching Europe. Over the Summer, the club added some high-profile players, and they are looking much better. They even dismantled Galatasaray in the Super Cup 5:0 at the start of the season. Right now, they are tied with Fenerbahce for 2nd place in the Super Lig and are five points away from the top spot. Still, Besiktas played one game fewer than the first-placed Galatasaray, and with a potential win, they would close that gap to two points. However, the last game in the Europa League is definitely a reason for concern as they were dismantled 4:0 by Ajax, and it will be interesting to see how well they will respond after such a big loss.

Kayserispor vs Besiktas pick: Over 2.5 goals

In recent games, Kayserispor have really struggled defensively, allowing two or more goals in the last three games against Goztepe, Trabzonspor, and Eyupspor. So, if they struggle defensively against these teams, they will undoubtedly have problems against Besiktas.

On the positive side, Kayserispor are scoring a goal per game on average, and we could see a goal from them against Besiktas, which has shown some defensive flaws in recent games.

The previous game against Ajax was Besiktas' first loss this season in nine games. Even though it was a terrible 4:0 loss, we can give them a pass because it is only one game. Before the Ajax game, Besiktas were excellent offensively, scoring 24 goals in eight games in all competitions - three per game. Mostly due to a good offense, Besiktas were over 2.5 goals in six of nine games - 67%.

Considering all the above, we belive that an over 2.5 goals bet is the safest option for this Super Lig tie.
