After seven years spent in 2. Bundesliga, Holstein Kiel managed to secure an appearance in the German top-flight division. However, judging from the start of the season, it seems they failed to improve the squad for this level of competition, and survival seems like a very difficult task. After the first four rounds, "The Storks" are the last-placed team in the Bundesliga with only one point. Pretty much their only good performance was in the DFB Pokal against a 3. Liga team, Alemannia Aachen.

If we exclude the 2021/22 season, Eintracht Frankfurt have been among the top seven teams in Germany in the last four years. Last year, they finished sixth, but with only 47 points won in 34 rounds, there is definitely room for improvement. And indeed, "The Eagles" opened the season much better as they won nine points in the first four rounds. Currently, they are tied with two other teams (Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg) for the second place. Since they will face Bayer Munich and Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming two Bundesliga games, the Eagles are under pressure to win points against out-of-form Holstein Kiel.

Holstein Kiel vs Eintracht Frankfurt pick: Eintracht Frankfurt to win

After three losses at the start of the season, Holstein Kiel stopped the losing streak with a 2:2 draw against Bochum. Still, Bochum were also terrible this season, and that draw isn't something to really boast about. Kiel's defense has been simply terrible this season, allowing a total of 13 goals in four rounds - 3.25 per game. So, stopping Eintracht Frankfurt will undoubtedly be a challenging task.

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt won three in a row in the Bundesliga and was very close to winning their fourth game in a row against Plzen in the Europa League. Unfortunately, they allowed two goals in the last moments of the game and eventually drew 3:3. But they definitely deserved more, and with a little more luck, we could speak about a four-game winning streak.  

The difference in overall quality and form is totally in favor of the visitors, and we firmly believe that Eintracht Frankfurt should secure a comfortable win at Holstein-Stadion.
