- Competition: Allsvenskan
- Date: Thursday, 22nd May, 2025
- Kickoff: 18:00 UK / 19:00 CEST
- Venue: 3Arena (Stockholm)
On Thursday evening, two in-form teams, Hammarby and Mjallby, will face off in the Allsvenskan at the 3Arena in Stockholm.
Last year, Hammarby finished second, which was their best placement in 17 years. Still, they weren't really close to the top spot as Malmo left them 11 points behind. This year, the team from Stockholm started pretty poorly (by their standards) in the Cup, finishing their competition in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, in the Allsvenskan, Hammarby did great, already winning 21 points in ten rounds. Right now, they are in 4th place, one away from second and third spot, and two away from the top spot and their next opponent, Mjallby.
Since gaining promotion to the Swedish top-flight division in the 2019 season, Mjallby have been between fifth and tenth place in the following five years. This year, Mjallby had an incredible start, one of their best ever. After the first 10 rounds, they hold the top spot with 23 points. While it is still early, Mjallby's fans have every reason to dream about a European appearance, considering what we have seen from them thus far.
Hammarby vs Mjallby pick: Both teams to score
Hammarby are in excellent form, losing just once in ten games. They also scored at least a goal in nine out of those ten matches. But Hammarby have been especially good at home, winning four of five games, and scoring 12 goals - 2.4 per game. So, we expect them to score at least once.
Mjallby are the best team in the league at this moment. They have scored at least one goal in ten matches and should be able to score here as well. Another positive thing for this bet is the fact that Mjallby only had one clean sheet in five road games.
In the previous h2h game, Mjallby won 3:1. Considering both teams' excellent offensive performances, we believe that both teams to score should be the safest option for this Allsvenskan tie.

Hammarby team news
According to credible sources, there has been a heated argument in the Hammarby locker room during the half-time of the 0:0 draw in the previous game. Nahir Besara and Shaquille Pinas were at the center of the argument, and sports director Helberg said the incident would have repercussions. Still, the director did not specify whether they will be suspended for the upcoming game(s).
Dennis Collander, Jusef Erabi, and Frederik Winther, who missed the previous games with injuries, should remain sidelined.
