Girona had a historic last season where they managed to secure the Champions League appearance in the 94-year-old history. However, their first appearance in the competition was far from impressive, considering they won just three points in seven rounds and are sitting in 31st place. But the Catalan team are struggling (compared to last season) in La Liga and are in 8th place with 28 points in 21 matches - two points away from the European spots. Considering they have no chance of reaching the CL 1/16 finals, we believe they could rest some key players to keep them fresh for La Liga.
For the last two seasons in the Premier League, Arsenal came close to winning the title but fell short to Manchester City. This year looks like we could see a similar season as the Gunners are trailing six points behind Liverpool and have one game played more. In the Champions League, the Gunners are doing great and need just one point to secure the 1/8 Finals. Lately, their only poor performances were in the FA and Carabao Cup, where they suffered eliminations in the 1/32 Finals and Semi-Finals.

Girona lost three in a row before this game against Rayo Vallecano, AC Milan, and Sevilla. If we look further back, they only won two of the last 11 games in all competitions. But those wins were against teams much weaker than Arsenal - Alaves and Real Valladolid.
Meanwhile, Arsenal only lost two games (in the FA and Carabao Cups) in the last 19 games. They are playing well and have been especially impressive in the Champions League, where they won five of seven games (71%) while allowing only two goals! Also, lately, the Gunners have been very good away from home and haven't lost in the last eight games while winning on five occasions.
Simply put, Arsenal showed a lot more this season, and we believe they are too good for Girona. So, anything but a comfortable win for the Gunners would be a surprise for us.

Daley Blind and Paulo Gazzaniga suffered injuries early in the previous game against Rayo Vallecano and had to leave the field. For now, there are no official statements about the seriousness of the injuries, but we believe that both players will miss the Arsenal game.
Winger Bryan Gil received his third yellow card in the last Champions League and will serve his one-game suspension. Additionally, Ladislav Krejci and Miguel Gutierrez, who missed the previous game(s), should remain sidelined with injuries.
