Two sides in contrasting form come together this weekend as Fortaleza look to maintain their excellent home performances against an out-of-sorts Fluminense. 

The home side enters this fixture currently ninth in Serie A after a 2:0 road defeat at Vasco da Gama last week. Juan Vojvoda´s side had won three of their last four matches before last weekend´s setback.

As mentioned, the hosts have been in great form at the Estádio Governador Magalhães Pinto. Fortaleza claimed victories in each of their last five home matches, scoring nine goals while conceding just one. 

Unbeaten in 14 home fixtures since the start of March, Vojvoda´s men will see this fixture as a good opportunity to claim another three points.

Indeed, visiting Fluminense make the trip to Ceara, currently bottom of Serie A with only seven points collected from 14 games played. A lengthy injury list has not helped the visitors who come into this fixture having picked up two points from their last eight league outings (D2, L6). 

On their travels, Mano Menezes´s side have been particularly poor, losing all six away fixtures this season. Fluminense have won just two of their last 14 road games across all competitions. 

Fortaleza claimed a commanding 4:2 win when these sides last met at this venue, and all things considered, a similarly comfortable victory looks likely this weekend.
