Goals should be on the cards in Sunday's EPL contest on the south coast in a likely evenly-balanced contest between two of last season´s mid-table sides.

Both teams enter this fixture in a positive frame of mind after decent results in the opening weekend of the new Premier League season. Newcastle, despite being reduced to ten men, were able to claim a hard-fought 1:0 victory against Southampton while Bournemouth emerged with a 1:1 draw from their trip to Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle are usually a reliable side for goals chasers, particularly in away matches in this competition. The Magpies have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in eight of their last ten away EPL matches, and in 14 of 19 played last season. An average of nearly four goals were scored across all of Eddie Howe´s side away matches during the campaign.

Likewise, Bournemouth saw plenty of goals scored in their most recent EPL matches at Vitality Stadium. Five of the Cherries last seven home fixtures saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored, while an average of just over three goals were scored across their entire home fixture list last season.
