League One Birmingham wil be confident of pulling off an upset victory on Tuesday when they take on Premier League opponents Fulham.

Goals should be expected when two sides in winning form come together at St Andrews Stadium in Tuesday's League Cup clash.

Hosts Birmingham have enjoyed a fine start to their domestic campaign with three successive victories picked up on their travels at Charlton, Wycombe and Leyton Orient since an opening day draw against Reading. 

Now led by Chris Davies, the Blues have also been in good form in home games, remaining unbeaten in their last five matches since the end of last season. 

High-scoring outcomes have proven frequent for Davies´s side this season, with five of their last six games seeing BTTS. Four of those games also saw at least three goals scored. 

Fulham make the trip to Birmingham boosted by a hard-fought 2:1 victory against Leicester on Saturday. The Cottagers began their season with a narrow 1:0 loss at Manchester United before Alex Iwobi´s second-half goal secured a first victory of the campaign for Marco Silva´s side.

Goals usually follow when Fulham are in action. The Cottagers have seen an average of over three goals scored in their last nine competitive away fixtures, while BTTS occurred in their last six League Cup ties since August last year.

Considering the decent start both sides have enjoyed to the season, I expect a competitive and entertaining cup contest. BTTS is my primary pick, while I also anticipate a minimum of three goals scored in a cup clash that could even require extra-time to find a winner.
