Walsall look to secure a place in the League Two playoff final when they host Chesterfield at the Poundland Bescot Stadium on Friday evening.

Walsall vs Chesterfield Betting Tips - Walsall to Win

An intriguing League Two playoff clash sees Chesterfield head to the West Midlands needing a big performance to keep their promotion hopes alive.

After securing a solid 2-0 win in last weekend’s semi-final first leg, Walsall will be confident of completing the job on Friday night.

Yet, a strong recent away record will give the visitors some hope of salvaging the tie at the Poundland Bescot Stadium. Chesterfield picked up victories in four of their last six away matches, while they lost just one of those fixtures.

Walsall´s poor home record will also give the visiting Spireites plenty of optimism. The Saddlers lost four, while failing to win any of their last six home matches, while they have won only two of their previous ten at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

The Saddlers did claim a 3:1 victory when these sides last met at this venue in February, however with a different dynamic, and protecting a lead, this contest is likely to be more competitive, with the Spireites capable of unsettling home nerves.

With the visitors in great away form, and Walsall winless at home since February, I fancy Chesterfield to at least make things interesting on Friday.

An away win or draw is my best bet for what promises to be a tense occasion at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
