Virtus Acquaviva has won both their league titles in the last two seasons. They had an impressive previous year with only one defeat. Eventually, Virtus Acquavia ended with four points more than La Fiorita. San Marino's champion last season, for the first time, played in the Champions League qualifications, but they lost at the start with an 11-1 aggregate score against FCSB. Virtus Acquaviva has made some progress since then and should have slightly better chances against Zrinjski.
Last season, Zrinjski won their ninth title in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian league. The race with Borac Banja Luka was very close, but eventually, the team from Mostar ended with one point ahead of the next teams on the table. In the last few years, Zrinjski improved and while it is still unreal for them to qualify for the Champions League, Mario Ivankovic's team should at least find their place in the Conference League group phase, where they played a few seasons ago. This summer, Zrinjski had only one friendly match in which they lost 2-0 against Zeljeznicar.
