Spain are the reigning world champion and the favorite for the title at the EURO. Although being one of the best teams on the continent in the last few years, Spain have never won the title at the EUROs, and this is a good opportunity to do so. Spain came to the tournament with five wins in a row. In the opening round, they won 5-0 against Portugal. Tome Montserrat's team scored four goals already in the first half, so the opponent never had a real chance in the match.

Group B has two big favorites for the first two spots, Spain and Italy, and it was always clear that Belgium have little chance of progressing to the playoffs. Elisabet Gunnarsdottir's team had mixed results in 2025, but expectations were high before the opening round and the game against Italy. However, Belgium lost 1-0 in that match and now they need a miracle against Spain to stay in contention for the next phase.

Spain W vs Belgium W pick: Over 3.5 goals

Spain and Belgium had two h2h matches in 2025, and both games ended with five or more goals. We should expect another similar match on Monday afternoon in Thun.

Spain W team news

After a win in the opening round, Spain's head coach, Tome Montserrat, was very satisfied. She said, "We've started the tournament well. In a competition like this, winning the first game and scoring early is really important. We had some great moments in the first half, went 4-0 up, and followed the game plan perfectly. I'm happy with the team's performance."

Belgium W team news

Belgium lost 1-0 against Italy on Thursday, but the head coach, Elisabet Gunnarsdottir, still saw the positives. She said, "I am disappointed at this moment, and I have to analyze and see what we could have done better. At the same time, I'm really proud and happy with my team for how we approached the game and our mentality. We came in with courage and did something we have not always felt comfortable with, which is owning the ball. We wanted to try to create really good chances, which we didn't really do – there were a lot of half-chances and moments around the box. We didn't have the edge to do the things you need to do to win – it wasn't enough today, but it's a really good step forward for us."
