Silkeborg didn't have many opportunities to lift the trophies throughout history. They have one Danish league championship title and two cup trophies. Interestingly, Silkeborg have won the Landspokal Cup last season, so they have a great opportunity to secure more silverware from the same competition. 

Silkeborg have had a mediocre season so far. In the league, they failed to find a spot in the Championship group but have a solid chance to secure the Conference League playoffs through the Relegation group. Brondby have won 18 trophies in Danish football (league and cup), but they haven't had many successes in the last few years. Brondby's previous trophy was won in 2021, and playing in the Landspokal semifinal is the perfect opportunity to add one more title to the trophy case. 

In the league, Brondby had some good moments, but currently, they are only third and can only hope for a place in the Conference League playoff. Like Silkeborg, Brondby are without a victory in the last three matches. In the previous game, they lost 3-0 at home against FC Copenhagen. The home side was terrible defensively, which they will try to change in the upcoming cup semifinal in Silkeborg.
