Palmeiras, one of the greatest clubs in Brazil and South America, secured their FIFA Club World Cup appearance by winning the Copa Libertadores in 2021. Since then, they have failed to win the continental competitions but have secured two Serie A titles. However, last year, they finished the competition without a trophy but were close - finishing second - six points away from the top spot. Interestingly, they won three points more than when they won the title in 2023! This year, they are doing well in all competitions. Chelsea recovered from a disastrous 2022/23 season when they finished 12th. They are slowly improving, and the last season could be called a success. The Blues secured the Champions League by finishing fourth in the Premier League and also won the Conference League in dominant fashion. Meanwhile, in the FIFA Club World Cup, the Blues were solid, but their only loss came against another great Brazilian team - Flamengo RJ.
