MLS action returns to the world-famous Yankee Stadium this week as New York City takes on Eastern Conference rivals Toronto FC.

New York City FC vs Toronto FC Betting Tips - NYC to Win

New York City will be keen for a return to winning form when they welcome struggling Toronto FC to the Big Apple on the eve of US Independence day.

The hosts come into this week's MLS fixture looking to bounce back from a surprise 1:0 defeat against Montreal last weekend. Victor Loturi's second goal of the season secured a rare home win for the Impact.

A strong record at Yankee Stadium will give NYC confidence this week, though. Pascal Jansen's side won seven of their last ten home fixtures, including three of their last four. In their most recent outing at Yankee Stadium, the Pigeons claimed a commanding 4:0 win against Atlanta.

Previous encounters against Toronto will also give the home faith plenty of reason for optimism this week. New York claimed the spoils in each of their last five encounters against TFC, including a 1:0 win in Toronto in April.

Toronto FC makes the short trip to New York after a comfortable 3:0 win against Portland last weekend. The visitors had failed to win all but two of 11 previous MLS encounters before Saturday's comfortable success.

Despite the victory, the Reds sit 13th in the Eastern Conference, 11 points behind NYC after 19 games completed.

Given the hosts strong home record, and recent dominance in this fixture, NYC look like a decent bet to claim the points on Thursday.

A home win is my best bet at Yankee Stadium.
