PSG face their fixture of a new era without star forward Kylian Mbappe, but despite the loss of the World Cup winner, will be expected to kick their campaign off with victory at Stade Oceane. 

The Ligue 1 champions returned to action with a pair of friendly draws against Sturm Graz and RB Leipzig in the past 10 days, and now facing their first competitive fixture, will be expected to find  a first win of the season.

Luis Enrique´s side proved stronger on their travels last season, than in matches played at Parc des Princes. Surprisingly, PSG picked up fewer points in home games, than they did on the road. 

Indeed, on their travels, the Parisiens won 13 and drew four of 17 Ligue 1 fixtures. Contrastingly, they won only nine of 17 in Paris. 

Away from home, Enrique´s men scored at least two goals in each of their last 22 Ligue 1 victories since September 2022.

Le Havre return to action after a tough pre-season saw them fail to win each of their last five friendly fixtures. Didier Digard´s side suffered a worryingly one sided 6-0 defeat against Bochum in their most recent outing last weekend.

A poor home record saw Le Havre lose six of their last eight home matches in Ligue 1, and I expect that poor run to extend at the hands of PSG on Friday.

An away win, with at least two goals scored should prove the standout selection in Friday´s Ligue 1 opener at Stade Océane.
