After around a month's break, the Swedish Allsvenskan is set to continue. In the 13th round, two mid-table teams, Hacken and GAIS, will face off against each other at Gothia Park Academy in Göteborg.

Hacken had a magnificent 2022 season, winning their first title. However, their results declined in the following two seasons, finishing third and eighth. This year, The Wasps continued with mediocre performances as they sit in eighth place with only 18 points from 12 matches - already seven away from the European spots. However, they had an excellent run in the Svenska Cupen, winning the title and securing the European Qualifiers. So, it is fair to say they have already fulfilled their main goal of reaching Europe.

GAIS made fantastic progress over the previous years, considering they played in the third tier of Swedish football in 2022. This year, they haven't had a great start, but as the season progresses, they are only looking better. Now, they are on a five-game unbeaten run, moving to 7th place with 18 points - a comfortable seven points away from the danger zone.

Hacken had mixed performances this season. However, at home, they were a lot more efficient thus far. At Gothia Park Academy, The Wasps averaged 1.83 goals per game, compared to only 1.0 away from home! This year, Hacken scored in five of six games at home in Allsvenskan matches.
