- Competition: UEFA Women’s EURO 2025
- Date: 4th June 2025
- Kick-off: 20:00 UK / 21:00 CEST
- Venue: AFG Arena
The German and Polish women's teams are set to meet on Friday night in Saint Gallen as both nations look to start the UEFA EURO 2025 tournament with a win.
Die Nationalelf are fresh from securing a spot in the Nations League semi-finals after topping League A Group 1.Christian Wück’s team's last match saw them beat Austria to extend their winning streak to five matches and scored six goals for the second time in three matches. Having also won all of their last five EURO Championship group stage matches, they are favourites to win at the AFG Arena on Friday.
Like the German women's team, the Polish women's team also enjoyed a successful Nations League campaign, winning all but one of their six Group E matches and they kept four clean sheets. Their most recent match was a friendly against Poland in Mielec, in which they scored four goals for the second time in three matches, while also keeping a third consecutive clean sheet.
Germany W vs Poland W Betting Tips: Over 3.5 goals
Both nations currently have one of the best attacking line-ups, with Germany boasting at least four goals in each of their last five matches and the Eaglesses scoring three or more goals in four of their last five.
On top of this, recent meetings between German Women and Poland Women were extremely entertaining. The previous two -both in 2024 - produced four or more goals, and I expect a similar outcome this week.
- Best Tip: Over 3.5 goals
- Germany W vs Poland W prediction: 3-1

Germany W team news
German W head coach Christian Wück will continue to rely on the services of Lea Schüller who found the back of the net 11 times for Bayern Munich in the Frauen Bundesliga during the 2024-25 campaign.
Schüller is expected to lead the line on Friday against Poland Women and could be supported by her club team mate Klara Bühl, while Laura Freigang will retain the number 10 role.

Poland W team news
Given the result and scoreline in the 4-0 victory over Ukraine last weekend, head coach Volodymyr Pyatenko may be tempted to stick with his XI.
Having both found the back of the net in that encounter, the likes of Klaudia Jedlińska and Paulina Tomasiak will have key roles to play in the final third against Germany Women.
