Belgium are not considered one of the stronger sides in European women's football, having qualified for only two major tournaments in their history. At the last European Championship, they reached the quarterfinals, a notable achievement but one that seems unlikely to be repeated in 2025. Belgium struggled this year, as they won only three of the last eight matches. In the previous game, Belgium won 2-0 against Greece. That was an impressive performance, but Gunnarsdottir's team will have significantly tougher challenges at the EURO. 

Italy, by contrast, are a regular participant in major tournaments. However, they haven't progressed beyond the quarterfinal in recent editions of the European Championship. While Spain are surely the best team in this group, Italy should be better than Belgium and Portugal, so we should see Andrea Soncin's team in the next phase. Italy have been playing well lately as they have been unbeaten in the last three matches. In the previous game, they won 4-1 on the road against Wales.
