  • Kickoff: 23:45 UK / 00:45 CEST
  • Venue: Shell Energy Stadium (Houston, TX)

After losing the first games in the Gold Cup, Trinidad & Tobago and Haiti will search for their first points against each other in the second round at Shell Energy Stadium in (Houston, TX).

Trinidad & Tobago's results haven't been great in recent years. In the last three Gold Cup tournaments, they finished their journey early and exited after the group stages. However, most importantly, they are having a solid World Cup Qualifying cycle as they are on track to secure the third qualifying stage. However, having reviewed their recent games, we can definitely see that they are on a decline, having lost four of their last five matches in all competitions.

Haiti had a very good period behind them. They managed to secure the top spot in Nations League B and promotion to League A. Besides that, they are doing a fine job in the World Cup Qualifiers as they are in second place with nine points after four rounds - already five away from dropping out of the spots for the next stage of the qualifiers. However, they began this tournament with a disappointing 1:0 loss to Saudi Arabia, a non-CONCACAF team that used their influence to gain an appearance in the Gold Cup.

Trinidad & Tobago vs Haiti pick: Over 2.5 goals

Trinidad & Tobago have been fantastic for this bet as they went over 2.5 goals in their last seven games in all competitions. Their defensive performance was far from impressive, which is the main reason for the constant high-scoring games. If they continue with such defensive performances, we wouldn't be surprised if they allow a few goals to Haiti as well.

Haiti have played very well and have been very efficient. They won 10 out of the last 12 matches while scoring 46 goals - an average of 3.83 goals per game! Mostly due to good offensive displays, they went over 2.5 goals in 11 out of the last 12 - an incredible 92%!

In the last h2h game, we saw a 2:2 draw (in the regular time). Considering all the above, and especially the constant high-scoring games of both teams, we believe that an over 2.5 goals bet seems like the best option for the upcoming Gold Cup tie.
