Slovenia U21 had a fantastic Qualifying Campaign, finishing at the top of Group H ahead of France U21 and Austria U21, along with two weaker teams, Cyprus U21 and Bosnia and Herzegovina U21. That is the first time they have managed to qualify for the EURO, as their first appearance in 2021 was due to their co-hosting role for that tournament. Back then, they didn't make it past the group stage, and history may repeat itself. After earning just one point from the first two matches, Slovenia now needs a big win - and also for England to lose heavily to Germany - to have any hope of reaching the next round.

Czech Republic U21 are a team that pretty regularly appears in EURO U21 and even secured a title more than two decades ago. But in the previous four competitions they were in, they finished the competition early, ending their campaigns in the group stage. This year is no different. They lost the first two games to Germany and England and are without a chance of reaching second place.
