The Seattle Sounders and Atletico Madrid are still waiting for their first win and first points at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 after losing their opening Group B matches.

The MLS side lost out to Botafogo in their first match, losing narrowly 2-1. Despite the defeat, Seattle were dominant throughout the 90 minutes, recording 23 shots on goal, of which only four tested the Botafogo goalkeeper John.

Atletico, on the other hand, got off to the worst possible start to the Club World Cup, losing 4-0 to Champions League winners PSG. The La Liga side were completely outplayed for large parts of the game, conceding 16 shots from their opponents and having just 26% possession.

A clash between MLS and La Liga clubs is not an everyday occurrence. Given Seattle's solid attacking performance against Botafogo, we expect them to score on Thursday and are therefore betting on both teams to score.
