Rapid Wien and Trabzonspor met last week in Turkey, and the Austrian side won 1-0. The two teams showed a similar level of quality in the first leg, but Lukas Grgic's goal made the difference. Now, Rapid and Trabzonspor will head to Allianz Stadion in Vienna, where they will meet for a second time in a match in which both sides hope to progress to the next round.

That was a perfect opportunity for another victory, but after a bad start, conceding a goal after four minutes, and complete dominance in the rest of the match, Rapid Wien unfortunately failed to win more than one point. Still, after five wins in a row, one weaker game shouldn't affect the team's confidence too much. 

Trabzonspor head to the 2024/25 season optimistic, but after two wins against Ruzomberok in the previous Europa League qualification round, Abdullah Avci's team recorded two games without a win. Last weekend, in the opening Super Lig round, Trabzonspor played 0-0 on the road against Sivasspor. The teams were pretty even in that match, so it is no wonder they shared the points.
