Pharco will be looking to keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation from Egypt’s top flight when they welcome Zamalek to Nasr City on Wednesday evening.
The hosts are competing in the Egyptian Premier League for the third consecutive season. Ahmed Khatab’s side were amazing to watch in the last two campaigns, finishing eighth and ninth in 2021-22 and 2022-23, respectively, but things haven’t quite workout well for them this season.
Zamalek are another Premier League side that have been below their standards by far this season. The visitors ended their run of back to back league titles with a fourth place finish last season and things have continued to go downhill this season.

Although the visitors haven’t played the football we know they can this season, their recent form has been encouraging. José Gomes’ side enter Wednesday’s game with back to back league wins and have lost just one of the last seven across all competitions.
Pharco beat Al Ittihad 1-0 in their last league game at this ground, but that was one of their rare wins this season. That was the only win in the last seven games of Ahmed Khatab’s men in the league and they don’t also have a great record against Zamalek.
Pharco failed to take three points in any of the last two league meetings between the two sides and I fancy that run to be extended on Wednesday.
