Leicester City will look to maintain their 100% record in 2024-25 pre-season friendlies when they welcome Italian side Palermo to the UK on Friday night.
The Foxes responded well last year after their shock exit from the Premier League at the end of the 2022-23 campaign. Under head coach Enzo Maresca, Leicester City won the Championship with 97 points from 46 games and also had the best attack and defence. Leicester City enter this game with back to back friendly wins against Villarreal and Shrewsbury under their new boss Steve Cooper and will be looking to continue this run on Friday.
Palermo meanwhile were not as prolific as Leicester last season, with the Italian side finishing sixth in Serie B. The Pink and Blacks faced Venezia in the semi-finals of the promotion play-offs in their last two games of the 2023-24 season, losing both legs to end their promotion hopes. They started their pre-season friendlies with a defeat to Rapperswil, but the win over Monza last time out will give them plenty of confidence ahead of the trip to England.
