Since joining Norway's top-flight division, HamKam have consistently ranked between 11th and 13th in the following three seasons. Still, they managed to survive somehow. This year, they are once again in their usual place, sitting in 13th place with 11 points in nine rounds. However, they gained some separation from the danger zone after winning back-to-back games against Strinsgidset and Molde. Now, they are five points away from the relegation playout and six points away from direct relegation.
Tromso had a magnificent 2023 season, securing third place and the European Qualifiers. Unfortunately, they failed to build on that success and had a terrible last year, finishing 13th and barely escaping relegation. This year, they are once again doing a fine job and are in sixth place with 16 points from nine rounds - just one point away from the European spots and with one game played less. This Summer break came at a bad moment because Tromso were on a fantastic four-game winning streak, and it will be interesting to see whether the break killed their momentum.
HamKam vs Tromso pick: Both teams to score
HamKam were in good form before the Summer break, winning two games against Stromsgodset and Molde while scoring five goals. Looking further back, we can see they scored at least a goal in five of the last six games and should score at home in this match as well.
Tromso won four in a row before the Summer break and have scored eight goals - two per game. So, we definitely believe in their offensive capabilities against one of the weakest teams in the league.
Additionally, both teams scored in 75% of HamKam's home games, and both teams scored in 75% of Tromso's road (league) games. Considering the trend in their home/road games, both teams' good form, and all the above, we believe that both teams scoring bet is the safest option for this Eliteserien tie.

HamKam team news
Left full-back Anton Ekeroth received his fourth yellow card in the previous game against Stromsgodset and will serve a one-game suspension. However, he hasn't been impressive this season, and his absence might not be such a big problem for HamKam.
Interestingly, a few days ago, coach Jakob Michelsen announced that he would step down as a HamKam coach on 31st July to take over the Danish women's national team.

Tromso team news
Central defender Vetle Skjaervik received his fourth yellow card in the previous game against Valerenga and will serve a one-game suspension. Thus far, the 24-year-old started in 100% of their league games while scoring two and assisting once.
Recently, the spots manager Lars Petter Anderssen spoke about the potential signings. He said that signing a long-term contract with Daniel Braut is one of the primary goals. The tall striker came on a loan from Sandnes and did well. He is only a backup option at the moment, but he has proved he is an excellent option off the bench.
