Stuttgart will be aiming to extend their impressive unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga when they host Bayern Munich at the MHPArena on Friday night.

Currently sitting third in the Bundesliga table with 64 points, Stuttgart remain on course to secure Champions League qualification for the first time in over a decade. Despite dropping five points in their last two league matches, Die Schwaben needs just one win from their three remaining fixtures to secure their return to Europe's top table. 

In their most recent outing, Stuttgart claimed a 2:2 draw at newly crowned champions Leverkusen, but will have been frustrated not to win having thrown away a two-goal lead in the latter stages at the BayArena. 

Sebastian Hoeneß´s side have been particularly strong at home with 11 victories picked and just one defeat suffered in 15 home Bundesliga matches this season. VFB´s setback on home soil was a 3:2 defeat against Hoffenheim in October.

Visiting Bayern come into this fixture currently second in the division, five points clear of Stuttgart. The deposed former champions may have their mind on other business with a vital second-leg of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid to come on Wednesday. Bayern picked up a 2:2 draw in Tuesday's first leg in Munich.

On the road, goals are all but guaranteed when Bayern are in action. Thomas Tuchel´s side saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals in eight of their last nine away league fixtures. In fact, over 3.5 goals were scored in seven of those games. 

Each of the last ten meetings between these sides saw over 2.5 goals scored, and considering recent results, that outcome looks locked on this weekend.
