The Black Arena in Austria is the host for a friendly contest on Wednesday evening as Sturm Graz takes on French champions PSG.
Sturm Graz vs PSG Betting Tips - PSG to Win
PSG face their first fixture of the new season when they take on Sturm in a pre-season warm-up contest this week. No longer able to call on the service of Kylian Mbappe, the French champions now look to fill the void left by the departing superstar.
Out-of-action since a 2:1 CDF final victory against Lyon, PSG return to league competition in just nine days and will be keen to kick-off their preparations with another away victory. Luis Enrique´s side have a superb away record with 13 wins and just one defeat recorded from 15 road matches played in 2024.
Austrians Sturm come into this friendly fixture having already begun their Bundesliga season. Christian Ilzer´s side slipped to a 1:0 defeat in their season opener against Rapid on Sunday.
Graz have struggled to find much form in their pre-season preparations. Ilzer´s men lost four and won only one of their last seven games since the end of June.
Friendly defeats against Porto (2:0), Rukh Vynnyky (4:1), and Domzale (3:0) suggest the Austrians could struggle to deal with a PSG side that will be keen to set a benchmark in performance ahead of the Ligue 1 kick-off later this month.
While it´s difficult to make too many clear-cut predictions with the Parisiens out-of-action for the entirety of the summer, I still expect the French side to prove too strong.
I´m backing PSG to kick-off their campaign with a victory at the Black Arena on Wednesday.
