After three years of absence, Levante will return to La Liga. The second level of Spanish football is one of the most challenging competitions in Europe, but Levante was consistent enough to secure promotion one round before the end. If the team from Estadi Ciutat de Valencia wins on Sunday afternoon against Eibar, they will win the La Liga 2 champions trophy, too. 

Levante found their best form in the last few weeks. They won the last three matches in a row. Last weekend, Levante won 3-2 on the road against Burgos CF. Although the guests finished the game with xG of 1.92, while the home side had only 0.46, Levante needed two goals late in the second half to secure all three points. 

The 2024/25 season was with a lot of ups and downs for Eibar, but eventually, they will end where we saw them before the season started - in mid-table. In one moment, Eibar were close to the drop zone, but they have lost only one match since appointing Benat San Jose as their head coach in February and ended far from the relegation dogfight. In the previous game, Eibar won 4-1 at home against Cordoba. The home side showed much more and deserved another victory.
