After a 1:0 win for Hankofen-Hailing over Erlbach in the first leg of the Regionalliga Relegation Playout Final, these teams will face off again, this time at Maierhofer Bau-Stadion in Leiblfing.

Hankofen-Hailing have constantly moved between the fifth and fourth tier of German football. Last year, they gained promotion and are only trying to survive this year. They almost got relegated (directly), finishing 16th with only 29 points in 34 rounds. Still, they are in a superb situation to secure it through the Playout, considering they have a one-goal advantage over Erlbach and only need to finish the job at home.

Erlbach had an excellent season, finishing first in Bayernliga Sud, but failed to secure promotion in the Playoffs. This year, they finished 3rd with 58 points from 32 matches but once again got the opportunity to play in the playoffs. Unfortunately, we believe they are not on last year's level, and it will be hard to secure a promotion after losing 1:0 at home. However, if they were to secure a promotion, that would be the biggest success in the club's history.

Hankofen-Hailing are in good form, winning three of the last four matches. Their only loss during that four-game stretch was a massive one (5:1), but that was on the road against one of the best teams in the Regionalliga Bayern - FC Buchbach.

On the other hand, Erlbach won just once in the last six matches while failing to score in four of those six games. We doubt they are good enough to beat a team from a league above, especially if we consider just how much they struggled offensively throughout the season in the Oberliga. In 34 rounds, they only scored 21 goals - 0.62 per game.
