Gremio will be looking to continue their recent impressive home form when they play host to Red Bull Bragantino on Saturday night.

The hosts have not had the start they would have liked after finishing second in this division last season. Gremo became their 2024 campaign with defeat to Vasco da Gama at Estádio Club de Regatas, where they conceded two goals in a time frame of 13 minutes. Tricolor dos Pampas responded well with back to back wins against Athletico PR and Cuiaba, but they were once again on the losing side in their last league game against Bahia.

Renato Gaúcho’s men beat The Strongest 4-0 in their last encounter, which was in the Copa Libertadores, and another boost ahead of this weekend’s game is that all three of their wins this season have come on home soil.

Red Bull Bragantino are now not far off the place they occupied last year, although the season is still quite young.  The visitors kicked off their league campaign with a run of five consecutive games without defeat, winning two and drawing three, but that run ended away at Bahia. Bragantino have played three games since, all in cup competitions, and didn’t lose any. With their record against Gremio also good, they will fancy their chances of going home with at least a point this weekend.
