FC Cartagena vs Zaragoza Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

A competitive and likely low-scoring contest seems likely on Monday as Cartagena look to get their first points on the board against Zaragoza. 

After losing the final three fixtures of last season, Cartagena began the season with a 3:1 defeat at Burgos last weekend and will now look to claim a first victory since a 2:0 win against Tenerife last May.

At the Estadio Municipal Cartagonova. Cartagena have a much stronger record, claiming victories in eight of their last 11 home Segunda Division fixtures. Defensively strong, fewer than three goals were scored in nine of those 11 home fixtures.

Zaragoza come into this fixture after kicking-off their campaign with a sensational 4:0 win at Cadiz last weekend. Victor Fernández´s side had failed to win 15 of their 17 previous road games. 

On the road, goals are usually scarce when Zaragoza are involved. Monday´s visitors saw under 2.5 goals scored in 14 of their last 17 away matches played since September 2023.

A tough match to call at this early juncture of the new season, a low-scoring contest seems likely, so I'm putting my faith in less than three goals scored. 

Under 2.5 goals is my top tip while I wouldn't be surprised to see the visitors edge their way to a narrow away win.
