Two sides who have already secured a place in the Premier League for the 2024-25 campaign meet this weekend as Bournemouth play host Brentford.
The hosts were in the relegation battle a few months ago but they sorted themselves out very quickly. A five match unbeaten run between early March and April, which saw the Cherries beat the likes of Everton, Burnley and Crystal Palace before drawing with Sheffield United got the job done. Andoni Iraola’s side went on a three games winless streak after that but two wins from their last three games sets them well for this weekend’s game.
Brentford have also been in fine form of late. The Bees travel to the Vitality Stadium this weekend with just one defeat from their last seven meetings, winning two and drawing four. With top flight safety already secured, the visitors have nothing more to play for, but head coach Thomas Frank will still want his side to have a strong end to the season.
Bournemouth vs Brentford Betting Tips: Draw & Under 3.5 goals
The reverse fixture earlier in the season ended in a draw and with both sides no longer having anything to play for, we could see another draw this weekend. Bournemouth kept a clean sheet in two of their last three games and just one of their last four fixtures at this venue produced more than three goals.
Brentford have also been great to watch defensively of late. The Bees conceded under one goal in each of their last four games and they equally have a good defensive record against Bournemouth. Thomas Frank’s side kept a clean sheet in two of their last three meetings with the Cherries and as many games ended in a draw.
- Best Tip: Under 3.5 goals
- Bournemouth vs Brentford prediction: 1-1

Bournemouth team news
Chris Mepham has been struggling with an illness since March and this weekend’s game will come too soon for the centre back.
Bournemouth injury list also includes Ryan Fredericks (calf), Max Aarons (hamstring) and Lloyd Kelly (hip) who are nursing injuries.
Dominic Solanke has been the main man for the Cherries this season, with the forward boasting 18 goals and should lead the line, while Philip Billing is pushing for a start in midfield.

Brentford team news
As far as Brentford are concerned, they have a treatment room that is currently occupied with more than five players.
Ryan Trevitt, Rico Henry and Ben Mee are expected to return to training next month, while the likes of Aaron Hickey (hamstring), Yunus Emre Konak (adductor), Josh Dasilva (knee) are nursing long-term injuries.
Yoane Wissa – who has ten league goals to his name so far this season – started the draw with Fulham last weekend as a substitute, but the DR Congo international could return to the XI here, partnering Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney.
