On Saturday, the 16th, Premier League team, Wolves, will welcome a Championship side, Coventry, at the Molineux Stadium in the FA Cup Quarter Finals.

Wolves became one of the more stable teams in the Premier League, finishing between 7th and 13th place in the previous five seasons. This year, they are playing an excellent season both in the league and the FA Cup. In the league, Wolves are on pace for another mid-table finish, as they are currently in 9th place with 41 points in 28 rounds. In the FA Cup, Wolves had a really tough route, eliminating teams like Brentford, WBA, and Brighton. Their only poor performance was in the Carabao Cup when Ipswich knocked them out in the 1/16 Finals. 

Coventry are constantly improving, considering that they were in League Two just a few seasons ago. Last year, they were super close to securing the promotion, but Luton stopped them in the Finals. This year, the Sky Blues are not as good, as they are currently in 8th place with 57 points. Still, they are only one point away from the playoffs. In the FA Cup, they surprisingly reached this stage, but we have to be honest and say they had a straightforward route, facing only the Championship sides.

Wolverhampton vs Coventry City pick: Wolves to win and cover the -1 AH spread

Wolves are in excellent form, having won four of the last five matches and beating some really good teams, such as Tottenham, Brighton, and Fulham. Also, at home, Wolves have been great throughout the season, winning ten of 17 games, mostly against teams much better than their next opponent, Coventry. 

Coventry are playing an OK season, but if we look at their games against the top-six teams in the Championship, we can see that they were far from impressive. They had nine games against those teams and won only six points - 0.67 per game. So, if they can't handle top teams from the Championship, it is hard to expect a positive result away from home vs Wolves.

Wolves are simply a better team, and we strongly believe they should secure a comfortable win at Molineux Stadium.
