Vojvodina vs Cukaricki prediction 08.05.2024

On Wednesday evening, two Europe-chasing teams, Vojvodina and Cukaricki, will face off against each other at Stadion Karadjordje in Novi Sad. 

Last year, Vojvodina finished the season in 5th place and secured the Europa Conference League Qualifiers. However, they had a terrible start both in the league and Europe and were easily eliminated by APOEL. Still, after that initial bad start, Vojvodina started playing slightly better and are now in a position to secure Europe. In the league, they are 6th with 54 points, on a level with points with 5th placed Cukaricki. Additionally, Vojvodina will have the opportunity to qualify for Europe through the Cup, as they reached the Finals after eliminating Cukaricki in the Semi-Finals.

Cukaricki finished 3rd in the last three seasons, but they are not as successful this year. They are battling to secure a top-five finish and European qualifiers for the fourth consecutive season. However, their remaining schedule is incredibly difficult as they will play against the top three teams: TSC, Partizan, and Crvena Zvezda. 

Vojvodina vs Cukaricki pick: Both teams to score

Vojvodina are in good form, having lost just once in the last 14 games. More importantly for our bet, they are scoring pretty regularly and have scored in 12 of the previous 13 games, failing to score only against the best team in Serbia, Crvena Zvezda. Additionally, Vojvodina are the best team in the league for this type of bet, as 64% of their games finished with both teams scoring.

Cukaricki are also in good form, winning three of the last four matches and scoring 12 goals - three per game. Still, most of their good games happened at home. However, they are scoring regularly away from home as well, regardless of the results. They have scored in three of the last four road matches, including a game against Vojvodina. So, we believe they should score here as well. 

These teams played twice in the last month and a half - once in the Cup and once in the league. Both matches finished 1:1 in ordinary time. The first h2h game this season also ended with both teams scoring (2:2). Considering all the above, we believe both teams should score in the upcoming game as well.
